Ford Sync upgrade from v1.0 ---> v2.2

So from the help of a few people in this forum I was able to successfully update my Sync 3 from v1.0 to v2.2 and swap out the hub and get Apple CarPlay to work.

I updated the firmware (actually it updated itself since I had it connected to my home wifi) and stopped by the dealer to buy the part. They wanted me to let them install it and "Install the software" for a 2 hour labor charge but I declined the installation and paid $75 for the part.

Following your lead I installed it and it worked just like it did for you. 3 minutes from start to finish!
