I also believe that the trucks come pre-wired for fog lights regardless if they have them as it would be cheaper just to make one uniform wiring harness and not use some of the options. However I do not think the auto dim feature is the same. That would be something that would not have been programmed into the truck's computer had it not been installed from the factory. At least that would be my guess.

I do believe you are correct sir.

My 97 has the behind bumper pigtails to corrent the fogs, even though my truck is not equipped with the lights.

Unfortunately I cannot confirm if the dash wiring end of the circuit exists though, never checked.
