Well here's something that might be of help for anybody else getting ready to do this project. A buddy of mine decided to stuff a 5.4l 3v into his 03 Mustang. This sparkplug breaking off thing happened to us too. Here's an article that should help with anyone doing future work.

I had serious issues with the #5... sounds the same.

I do but I'm not sure how to upload it here. I did buy a camera today an a pully tap an tried running it down to see if it would pop it loose but no such luck.

The only thing I can think of is get a drill and then reverse thread tap down in there then thread a long bolt in and it should get it out. I'd be really nervous trying to drill and tap it though, not damage anything. The head on my 4.6 doesn't look like it would be that hard to get off of it ever came to that. Not sure how much tighter it is on the 5.4.
