about connecting with a lower hose

Spectra Premium CU2136 Complete Radiator for Ford

Price: CDN$ 199.18

I am right now waiting for receiving the radiator.
I watched that my car has oem a lower hose style.

If I reconnect with new radiator, will it be good and tie very well?

Do you think that I need to buy a screw type hose clamp and a new lower hose?

If I buy a new lower hose, should I buy one or t whole hoses?

Thank you for giving me your info and wisdom.

Happiness but..

Spectra Premium CU2136 Complete Radiator for Ford
by Spectra Premium
I purchased this from Amazon.ca

The radiator was ok but hose adapters for the transmission lines was not perfect.
I took it from the original adapter of my old radiator.
And after installing the low hose. it was leaked.
So I took out the metal part from the low hose.
And then I reconnected with a clamp.
I was a painful, but now no leaking.

I hope that you find a good solution if you do like me.

Thank you so much so far.

But I have more problems ....

When you have a choice always go with a 2 row radiator. Also you always change thermostat unless you know it's been changed in less than 1 year. Same goes for upper and lower hoses. Hoses are supposed to be replaced every 4 years. Sooner if a high mileage driver. Pulling off old hoses that weren't leaking will likely leak shortly after. Remember guys, do the job once and do it right! You don't always get a second chance when these trucks overheat! Remove fan, get it out of your way. You will cry if you scrape new radiator and it leaks. Take your time!

I would add to above

Always change your hoses too. Never do just the radiatior, unless you just did the hoses. Also new hose clamps, screw clamps, for every connection. Basically, everything that is not your heater core.

I have reused hoses when I knew for a fact they had less than 10K on them. But I did remove them completely, clean them, and then re attached. The system is that - a system, and the radiator is really just the big part. In many vehicles, you would find yourself replacing the thermostat (above) or the water pump.

And I will assume the given, new Coolant.

I love it when posters say they have more problems then leave you hanging....wait for next week's episode - will the owner try and fix it or take the blue flame wrench to it and have a weenie roast......

Same bat time, same bat station.......
