Ignition Coil blow out

New member writes: I just had the ignition coil blow out and am curious what is the failure mechanism?
Is it caused by plug failure? or Coil failure?

It is caused by Ford failure.

I have the same problem as well as many others. This needs to be a recall.

I am finding that the coils tend to break off the tab and parts get stuck in the hole when it is changed.
