message center controls.

my message center controls r not working. they r on the dash not a overhead console. the odometer/trip and direction work on the cluster but the buttons dont do anything or light up. i already checked its not unplugged and i havnt found any blown fuses. any body have any thoughts?

Check fuse #41 with a meter. Don't just pull it and look at it.

so i stand corrected. they do light up with the lights on but have no function. the message center has cal on it all the time could it be locked out or something til it gets calibrated?

Mine is not working either. I checked fuse and pulled the button apart cleaned the contacts. No workie.

Maybe in the gem?

Going to look further into it tomorrow.

Will these lock the message center out and keep the buttons for doing anything?

Can't really say Never worked on the message system before All I did was post information from the Ford service manual

so does anyone have any ideas y they might not b working? could the buttons be bad? or a module thats bad? or the message center on the dash ????
