Torsion bars?

I was talking with a buddy of mine at work the other day, he was a mechanic for 16 years and said that the Expy's are notorius for torsion bars going bad or bustin. Have any of you heard anything about this?

nope. ive never herd of that. mine have with stood a lot too. ive always wondered that too but ive nvr even seen a broken torsion bar on a full size truck. i always see them break on mini trucks.

Yeah I haven't really heard of anything like that either. Ball joints and tie rods, sure, but torsion bars? Didn't sound right to me.

Tie rods, ball joints and sway bar ends never heard of torsion bars.
