i need to tweak it a bit and make it a sticky. but lane said it helped him a lot. so it might you too.

that is to replace the alt, but it shows what you have to do get the belt off. its a pain in the butt to get the breaker bar off, at least it was for me, but it does tell you how.

I have one of these in each truck and they are the best for short money ($17.00 ish at Walmart) I noticed that the voltage was going down when my headlights were on. I checked the alternator and it was on its way out I changed it out and back to normal. Much better than finding out by having a dead battery.

Exactly Freeway, It is not a cure all fix all for diagnosing electrical issues on vehicles, nothing beats a good DMM or diagnostic software for that, but it is a useful tool to have on hand.

I'm so discouraged with the truck right now....

I've tried everything you guys told me to do.

On top of all that I busted my starter solenoid.

I called a tow truck & am going to have it diagnose for $40 down the street.

If repairs exceed $500 my poor baby will be scrapped.

Wish me good luck, I'm going to need it.
