Was able to successfully connect with ForScan this weekend and found the same error code:
C1017 - Boot/Trunk primary switch, circuit short to ground
It was logged but not active at connection time.
I've found that locking the rig has held this rear glass popping behavior at bay (for now). I suppose I will make an appt with the dealer to replace the faulty wire harness at some point...or hold out for a few months so it can fix its own dang self.
