First off these are not push rod v8s. They are SOHC. Secondly 330ci is not a big v8 by any means. And it has to move nearly 6000lbs to boot. Torque is what gets weight moving from a dead stop not hp. But if the torque and engine aren’t kept in a useable range it will feel slow. I have a 98 EB with 150 k on it and just bought a 11 Navigator with 71k on it. The difference in the Navigator is night and day and the six speed trans has a lot to do with it. Keeps the engine in its usable torque range for better acceleration. If you think your truck is slow try driving one with a 4.6. Zero to sixty in six days
