What the HECK is this on the back side of the center console?

What is this "hook" on the rear of the center console? Only thing I can guess is a place to hang a set of headphones. Anyone have any insight?

My navigator has it to. I always thought it was a sunglass holder.

I don't have it... that is where my rear heater controls are at.

I have a sunglass holder in the overhead console but maybe for rear passenger. It doesn't fit anything else.

I agree with these. I have had passengers use it for that before. Really no other use for it.

Yes, I have it but unfortunately it's not in there. I'm sticking with headphone hook for now, seeing as that rear console has a couple jacks.
