I going to be ordering tires within the week. Will 285/70/16 fit my stock 98 or will I need spacers?

98EXeb, those tires will fit just fine on your truck with no modifications. The only thing you may need to do is to trim the plastic on the front valance a little bit.

Well after all the advice I choose to stay with the same size tire 265/75/16. I ordered a set of Mickey Thompson Baja Radial STZ's.

Now I wait!

I was going to go with the Nitto Trail grappler 285's or the Terra Grapplers, but came acorss the Mickey Thompson Baja Radials. They look similar to the Terras and they were $100 less per tire then the Trails. So for a inch less in tire I saved $400

265/75/16 = 31.6"
285/75/16 = 32.8"

Oh yeah you're right....:Moon: They would look good on a non lifted or slightly lifted Expy.

I had 265's for about 3 days..... They looked like skateboard wheels on mine though. But without a lift they should look pretty decent. I could't stop laughing at how bad mine looked. Too bad, they were brand new. I just couldn't keep them on there.

You can see why.. lol.. You can see the date of the pics are 3 days apart. That was all I could handle.

315's much better with the 5 inch lift...

Yeah if my Ex was lifted I wouldve went with a larger tire, but I wanted the wider stance look not the height. Im just going to maybe get spacers so my stance is wider.:happy160:
