I called Napa today and they said they can't get any of the Bosch pumps since they've all been discontinued. How long ago did you replace yours?

My receipt says 6/12/11. I don't know if it means anything but they are all listed on the site now.

I went up to the local Napa store during lunch to try to figure out what pump I needed for my truck, since I had purchased the Airtex from them. When I mentioned Airtex (without telling the guy I had one in my truck), he said not to get it. He told me that he put one in his truck and couldn't even make it out of the store's driveway without his truck dying. It seems that Napa can only get the N67236, but it is supposed to fit my 2WD, standard suspension Expy. I'm going to drop the tank in my driveway next weekend and swap it out for the Bosch, once he gets one in the store here. I'll post an update on my stalling issue, as well as the P0452 CEL once I'm done. No way I'm going to pay labor a 3rd time in addition to the more expensive pump.

I managed to find an even better deal than the Bosch on a Motorcraft pump from Bumper to Bumper, and they're in stock. I will pick one up tomorrow and try to do it this weekend. I have a siphon hose that I will have to use for my tank. Unfortunately, I filled up on Monday, and I'm still over 1/2 a tank right now. The last time I did this, I had it on empty (almost on fumes) and didn't have a problem getting it back in place. Weight wasn't an issue, space was.
Thats great glad you found one. Have you tried to siphon yours before. Mine has a screen on the neck somewhere that prevents you from shoving a hose down into the tank but I don't know if all years have this. I guess its an antitheft device.

In the fill tube, there is a small piece of plastic that blocks the hose from going down. The last time I did this, I disconnected the fill tube from the tank. I'll siphon directly from the tank if I need to. I'll take a picture of the plastic "anti-siphon" cylinder and post it after I'm done.
I did alot of digging around and decided to go with NAPA's fuel pump which is actually a Carter. It should get here on Tuesday. Wanted to get a Motorcraft but there is no way I am gonna spend that much on a pump unless I really have to. Also, every auto parts store I talked to said that the Delphi brand is the actual replacement for our trucks. I dont know if this is correct or not. I noticed that mine did not have a brand on it. Did anyone have Motorcraft stamped on their original?
My original said Bosch and was identical right down to the stickers to the replacement Bosch I bought at napa.

My original pump had Motorcraft on it. The new Motorcraft looks identical to the original pump, but did not come with a tank pressure sensor. Bosch makes this pump for Ford, so it will be the same with different labeling. I had to buy a new sensor since my original pump and sensor has long since been trashed. The new sensor was $80 and had "Ford" written on top. I can't remember what the old one looked like. The part no. for the new pump is XL1Z-9H307-BB. It will take about a week before I know whether the P0452 CEL comes back on b/c it will have to run through its test sequence.
Carter makes parts for AC Delco, which is sold under the Delphi brand for Ford parts. It's the same manufacturer, ever since AC started farming out their parts to other companies. I haven't heard anything about them, but if your problem isn't resolved, I would get Napa to order the Bosch. I think the part no. is 67236 now.
Today I replaced the Airtex
with Napa's pump assembly. Drove it today for about 100 miles with no engine light and no probs! I also replaced all the vaccum/vent hoses. Lesson learned to never use that brand again. Thank you all for you help and input!

That's awesome, congrats. My new Motorcraft pump is working great as well, but my CEL (P0452) did come back on. I thought it might, considering this was the 3rd pump I've installed. I have yet to change the vacuum lines. Where did you get your hoses from? Did you have to order specific hoses, or just buy standard vacuum hose to fit? Did you just change the 3 that attach to the tank, or did you also replace the filler tube? I don't know where mine is leaking pressure, but I am almost positive it's one of the smaller hoses.
I just bought about 4ft of regular 1/2in hose from Advance. I replaced the three from the tank and the very short ones that are off of the tees to the hard lines. I had to replace all the clamps too b/c the new hoses have a thicker wall. Also noticed the tees have o-rings on them but, mine were ok. I want to replace the fill hose as well, but cannot find it anywhere.
Also, when you go to do this...make sure that the connections on the tank that the hoses attach to are not clogged. Good luck and keep us updated!

Thanks. I've been planning on tackling this job after work one day, but wasn't sure what type of hose to use. I'll let you know how things turn out.
