My 2000 Ford Expedition 4x4 with the 5.4l motor has been idling really rough when i when i first start it then runs rough for about 30 to 40 seconds or when i floor the throttle then will straiten out and run good till i shut it off again let it sit for a hour start it back up and does the same thing. truck runs great after it straitens out every time. all vacume hoses are brand new, mileage is 90.000 on engine. any input would be great.

Is your check engine light on? Sounds to me like a bad coil or plug. At 90,000 miles, it may be a good time to just change them all.

i have the same problem. no check engine light. If it was a bad plug or coil wouldnt it continue to miss? i dont understand why is runs like its supposed to after a couple of minutes

What about your TPS? $25.00 Is it only occurring when the thermostat is closed?
