Fan clutch to electric fan?

Just wondering if anyone has ever done this and what electric fan setup they used? The fan clutch on my Expedition is locked up, AGAIN, and the sound of a airplane leaving everytime I pull off is about to drive me insane. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

lol, I been searching the site and seen his name and bits of wisdom come up alot. Seems like quite the knowledgeable guy. If feel pretty comfortable doing this now seeing all the good results everyone is getting. Maybe my question should of been where are people buying the kits from, and does anyone have the fans and relays offered at a package deal?

Do it... Make sure you have 2 independent controllers for redundancy...

If you don't feel like engineering a setup, flex a lite makes a dual fan kit that you just bolt on.

Well, I ordered a 16'' Fan with a CFM rating of 2800. Hopefully this will be enough seeing as we don't get terribly hot summers here in West Virginia. Quick question from temperature sending units, is anyone getting any luck from the probes that slide into the radiator fins or is the actual sensor that taps into the cooling system a better route? And if so, where are you guys putting that sensor? Thank you!

As a comparison, the Flex a lite moves 5500 cfm.

You also want to use a shroud to keep the fan pulling air through the rad and not just suck hot engine compartment air around in a loop.
