Someone told me you couldnt use a jet throttle body spacer with a K&N 77 series cold air intake? I dont have either but had planned to buy them together before I leave for vacation in florida from ohio. By the way all the parts are going on a 97 eddie bauer with the 5.4 V8. IS this true about not using the products together? I was going to call the website to place my order to verify this but i thought i could gather some of my friends trusted input here first.

X2 The spacers don't work, and most give an annoying whistle.

As someone in the F150 forums said, if you notice any difference, it's because the annoying whistle tells you that you are stepping on it (throttle) too much, and you back out. :D

Throttle body spacers have tons of people who claim they work. Yet no instrumented testing has ever proven this to be the case...

IMHO people who waste their dough will swear they work. But when put to the test, you will find zero evidence of any gain at all. And if you really look at what they claim, then look into the intake manifold of your truck, you'll see why there is no way they would work.

The only spacers that work are carb spacers...and no car for sale in the US uses a carb anymore.

I installed one on my 99' F250.

I WILL NOT install one on my Expedition

I plan to remove it from my truck but i need new TB bolts first. (Just lazy)

it does not do anything but whistle.

I can not tell you to buy one or not but i can say i would never do it again.

Ok i just found this thread about the throttle body spacers.

I have a friend who put one on his bronco and it gave him about a 2mpg increase. I've never actually heard one installed on a car but what is this whistle you are talking about? Is it high pitched or what does it sound like? I picked one up from a guy on craigslist for 40 bucks so i figured why not. Let me know any more advice before i install this or i might just put it up on ebay.
