Hey all, I am brand new to the Expedition family! I just bought a 2006 base model and I actually really like it. I traded in a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a death wobble issue. I loved my Jeep with a 3" lift and 35's but was tired of being nervous driving my vehicle. I was going to try and find another jeep but the wife wanted something more practical. We have two Great Danes and have near future plans for a family so we needed something large and the Expedition fit the bill. I was bummed that I wasn't going to get another Jeep but I do really enjoy driving a more civilized mode of transportation.

The plan for the Expy is to turn it into our camping, excursion, road trip vehicle. 2.5" leveling kit, 33" tires, after market wheels, bull bar, nerd bars, custom cargo rack, K and N intake, magnaflow exhaust... And more...

Anyway just wanted to introduce myself and my new ride!

Play hard...

Welcome!

Post up some pics of your rig!

Although it didn't humane a death wobble issue, I replaced my 2 dr 5 speed xj Cherokee with my Expy.. Much more useful, although hungry!

Well I was only getting 15mpg in the big Jeep so it probably is not going to change much!

I will post pics as soon as I have some, but I am sure everyone has seen a stock 2006...

Quick question what is the towing capacity for the Expy? 5.4L, Limited, and I think it has a tow package. Just wondering if at some point I could trailer a fully built Jeep to use on the serious stuff.

Welcome to the forum! I believe it is 6000lbs. but don't quote me on that. We also own a Dane and the expy is definitely a better fit for her than my crown vic was lol.
