I am running a 2021 Expedition Max Limited, and I have done a couple of modifications to it to help with towing a 7600# camper and a family of 7:
So far...
S&B intake
K&N oil catch can
MSD performance coils with new ruthenium plugs
Mishimoto Intercooler
SPD catted down pipes and an MBRP 3" exhaust
MPT Daily Street/Tow tune @ 87 octane
Helwig Sway bar in the rear
Yukon gear front ford 8.8 diff regeared at 3.73 ratio
I built the Ford 9.75 rear with Yukon Gears and an Eaton Truetrac locker regeared at 3.73 ratio
Yet to do:
Front-mount Mishimoto oil and transmission coolers
Bilstien 5100 shocks in the rear
and Method 315 18" x 9 +18mm wheels and 10 ply tires
I am building a good tow rig for road trips and camping with my large family. Everything I do myself, so I am looking forward to learning from all of you!
