Ok so I guess everything I have read on here is just wrong it I seem to have the ONLY 99 2WD XLT on earth. Put my 3" spacer lvling kit on the front of the truck last night and ended up with a rediculous amount of negative camber. Unfixable camber according to my alignment shop. Even after installing the cam kits they were only able to take .1° out. Went from 3.3° neg to 3.2°. Everyone I asked said that I would need an alignment but that I shouldn't need to replace my upper arms or do anything other than install cam kits and get it done.

So back to the house to remove my new kit and go back and get another alignment. What a waste of time. I'm so frustrated.

What am I doing wrong. There HAS TO be a way to make this work. I just don't get it.

Can it be a smaller kit or does it have to be 3"? Honestly for the cost of these trucks nowadays, I would just find a good 4x4 haha. Not sure how common 4x4's are in Arizona, but here in Minnesota you can pick up a 5.4L 4x4 for around 2500-3000 if you find the right seller. Much easier suspension to lift, and much more experience with it on the forum.

That being said, you could try a smaller kit, such as a 2" kit and see if the shop can do anything with that. Suspension lifts always change camber. The other option is doing a body lift, though you said you wanted to level the front end, so that might not be the answer either...

Looks like ill just be eating the wasted money and go with a spindle kit. Was told the spacers would work but apparently they do not. Nice that they make them with no intentions of them actually being able to use.

Sorry to hear things did not go as planned. Where did you order the kit from? Also if it is a name brand kit, you could try and call the company and see what they have to say.

When doing my research I had heard A arms had to be replace with the 3" spacers. I dont remember exactly where though. 2" spacers should work if you can exchange them with the vendor. Otherwise your are right it is a spindle lift for the kind of height. Not a lot of market for lifting a 1st gen 2wd these days.

So the Big O Tires here where I live employ a bunch of monkeys apparently, I got home after being there and hearing that they could do nothing more than .1 degree of where it was even with the Cam kit, got home, bought my own cam kit and did it myself.

Took it back there yesterday and had them fine tune it, the whole time the guy kept saying hes sorry that I had to take them out and he wished he could have helped... I took him out and showed him they were still in there and he just stood there looking confused.

Take an engineer, add a little OCD, some spare time, and see what happens with the dust settles. This next weekend I will be regearing the truck and adding the spindle lift kit with the rear spacers and pro comp 9000s. Gonna get some new pics when its all done. Thank you for all the helpful tips guys!

Glad you figured it out! I thought it seemed weird they would not be able to correct it since so many people do small lifts like that without issue. But not having a 2wd truck I am less familiar with the challenges they might face. Still, way to stick to your guns, I'll be looking for the pictures haha. Its gonna look good.

Looks good, I might have to look into lifting the old girl a bit. I wasn't sure how it would look with the 33's but since you have the same tire size I now have a rough idea.

Thanks! Yeah I'm real happy with her. It will be more fun after the 4.56s go in but she's come a long way. Got some tubing and welding ideas floating around in my head too.

I think instead of doing the searching sort of thing here and there you could try less sized kit, such as a 2" kit and see if a store can do anything with that. Revocation raises always modify camber.

I was able to fix it myself. I didn't have to use a smaller kit. The people I had do my alignment were idiots so I had to get it done without them.

From your experience, how much different is the front suspension on the Exp vs an F150 2WD. I know the rear is completely different but the front looks very similar. I keep looking at the Camburg F150 front suspension and it is made only for the 2WD.

Front suspension for Expy and F150 are the same for those years. F150 kits will work on the front , and you obviously know you will have come up with something else for the rear.

So if i can find a 3"-5" kit then all i would need is some coil spacer or new lift spring. Hmm anyone know who makes springs for a 4" lift? Or has anyone seen this kit installed? Ebay 2WD lift kit

Dont know of any 4" lifts . Seems 3 - 3.5 spindles and springs for lift up front. Seen spacers up front too. Dont know about the quality on the link but looks like a fair deal. I am finding Fabtech kits online use for around that money so...
