I have an 06 limited that is stock except for aftermarket 17x8.5 wheels and it has the standard 265/70/17 on it right now. My wife wants 33's mud tires which would be about a 285/70/17. ( although this thing will never see mud!! Or off road, she likes it clean but mean looking) Would I need a lift for that so they don't rub? Or leveling kit? I'm thinking about the 2" front leveling kit but I'd like to see it higher all around, what about the ebay lift, leveling kits i see that are 3" front 2" rear? Any kind or type to stay away from? They seem pretty cheap, $ 125 to 200 depending on which one.

I have 305/40/22, its almost the same size, mine is even wider, so your mud tires must fit.

what I think, that mud tires look better if you lift the car.

I have an ebay 3.5/2.5 spacer lift. Love it. :) Tire size in signature

would you mind posting a pic or two of yours? I want to get an idea what that lift looks like. also, was the kit complete with everything you need? or do you need shock extenders or spacers for the rear also or anything else?

I just installed the same lift (3 1/2" front and 2 1/2" rear) ebay lift last weekend and with VERY minimal front bumper trimming I'm clearing 325/65/20's with no rubbing. The tires were used and about halfway worn but they still measure out to 35x13 so your 33's should clear without issue. Here are some pics of it next to a stock Expedition.

I was worried how my "bling" wheels would look with all terrains and a lift, but I think it turned out pretty good.

Kit was just the spacers - no other mods needed.

That looks awesome! I think I'm going with that same 3/2 lift and 285/70/17 Dick Cepek mud country tires. (33) maybe 295 if it doesn't rub. I'll post some pics in a couple weeks when I get them.
