Trying to install new head unit with factory speakers 98 Eddie Bauer

I'm trying to keep the stock speakers and sub but install a new head unit. I'm told there is no harness that can guarantee the Mach sub will keep working. Did anyone find a solution other then an after market sub?

Check on crutchfield.com...I kept mine in my 04 shouldn't be any different

You will also want to get the resister that eliminates the turn on thump.

Nope . You need to lower the 12V down to 5V for the sub turn on.
