I have my rear cats out with pipes welded in, and have a glasspack where the stock muffler once lived. Sounded cool for a while but I'm tiring of the rasp and was wondering if anyone had rear cats out with stock muffler and how it sounds? I'd like relatively quiet with a slight burble, nothing too loud anymore...

Anyone?

Thanks!

Even if you have an aftermarket muffler with the cats gone I'd like to know how it sounds, I'm not set on going back to the factory muffler I just can't take the glasspack anymore...

I would think you could get a real nice deep tone with a magnaflow or flow master and no rear cats. Going back stock is making backwards progress in my mind, and going backwards is never good haha.

The raspy sound comes from lack of back pressure. Add that back with any chambered muffler and it will sound pretty good.

I gotchya, which is why I'm seeing what people have before I do it lol

I'm more looking for a tamed power sound on the quieter sound now, I may be getting old, I dunno hahaha!

I know others have deleted their rear cats, I'd love to hear what they have!!!!

I have the stock muffler still and all 4 cats removed, has a nice low tone until I punch it. Than gets the glass pack Crack. Not sure if that helps, not sure how much the front cats effects sound.

I removed the rear cats and have Magnaflow muffler with 2 2 1/2" in and outs ( one muffler ) nice low rumble. IF I wanted a little more would go Flowmaster.
