Also I finally put the stock tails back on after the last of the leds that were dying completely went out on the drivers side.

It looks weird to me now lol, definitely can't stay like that for too long.

I did put some cree leds in instead of the halogen bulbs though so it doesn't look too bad.

Just got done changing the oil on the 'ol girl. Mobil1 5W20 @ 160140 miles. Put about 5600 miles on the old Mobil1. Looks like she used somewhere less than 2 qts. I'll have to keep an eye on her.

Been putting the miles on all week. San Diego to Lake Havasu on Monday. Took the boat out Tuesday and Thursday. Then went to Oatman and Laughlin today. Only issue was a valve stem going bad. Thankfully we were in town and Discount Tire took care of it.

Finally finished my overhaul! It all started with this, I broke this bolt

And next thing I knew the intake manifold and valve covers were off lol. I know most people are partial to motorcraft for most things especially spark plugs but I got a reallygood deal on NGK iridium's, and coils, so far im really happy.

It took a while before the ol girl fired up since so much was done and the battery was a bit weak etc. But after it finally started and ran for a few mins it settled right down, I just finished doing the shocks and brakes before this so it feels like I'm in a new truck

Another one of the fun tasks I took care of while I was doing everything else was the lower power steering hose, I noticed while I was doing other things that it was leaking pretty good, the front skid plate did a good job of hiding it so I never noticed initially.

Anyone that has done this knows how much of apita the lower connection is. I used a combination of 2 methods I found on YouTube, first to get the old hose off I cut the hose at both connections and threw a socket on and got it off easily instead of trying to wrestle a wrench around the hose.

To install the new hose I modified a11/16 wrench for the lower connection, there just isn't any room to work around the pulley and belt, another terrible design, but with the wrench cut I could get it on enough to get 1/4 turns till it finally was secure. Both tips I found on YouTube and i found them very useful so I thought I'd pass on the info.

Can anyone identify this part? It was left over after I put everything back together under the hood, and I can't remember where it was and what it's purpose was.
