Where to find Lift kits?

Ive done a pretty extensive search for a 3-4 in suspension lift for the 98 xlt 4x4. But, every lift i find is $2000+. Are there any suspension lifts available for under $1000? My goal is to have a 3in suspension, 3in body, and 35's-37's. Im a college kid so $1500 for the suspension lift and body lift is super ideal. And if anyone knows the avg. garage's price to put in both lifts and wheels/tires, then you would be helping a ton. Thanks


ps. I am assuming the same year f150's lift wouldnt fit on an expedition. Correct me if i am wrong.

I have a 3in body lift
I have a 4-5 in suspension lift from rcx for a f150 so its only for the front it was 1000$
In the rear I made a 4inch coil spacer and had to find shocks for my rear so I got one from a lifted expy.

Big green ford I really like how yours is set up. So basically buy a 3in body(front, back or both?) , 5in ford 150 lift from rcx, 4-5 in coil (expedition or f150?), and rear shocks (expedition?)? Thanks for the help!

THE WHOLE TRUCK
*Buy a 3in body lift it brings everything you need. 250$
FRONT
*Rcx lift kit for a f150 97-02 4-5 inch lift kit everything works in the front the same. You can resale the rear blocks and u-bolfs to someone with a f150.
REAR
*For the back you will need to make a 4inch coil spring spacer.
*Then you will need to buy new shocks for the back for a expedition that has a 4inch lift.
Saved myself at least 1500$

What do you mean "make" a 4in coil spacer. My experience with cars is close to none hahaha

Mine too! I see you have a throttle body spacer, did that help you any? do you know if on a 06 it will fit if I have the K&N intake system?

You have two ways.
1*Get a coil spring from the front of a f250 they work in the back all you will need to do is grind one end a little to fit.
2*but what I did was get a heavy duty metal pipe 3in wide 4inch tall then I got a 2inch wide pip to fit inside that one and welded it ttogether sso the 2in wide pip would work as a guide so my coil will not slip of the 3inch wide pipe. So basically my coil sits on the 3inch (wide) pipe (you can make it 4 or 3inch long however high you want it) and the 2inch wide pipe is just so it wount slide.

Yes it will fit with your K&N system, I feel more off the line power. For the 40$ it was worth it. (Pep boys)
Guys here say it dose not work but for me it does.

Just put a 3" Performance Accessories Body Lift then 2" leveling, either Torsion Twist or Keys in front and 2" spacer in rear. Slap on 35" tires your done, cheap and the way most people get 35" tire to fit.
If your handy you can do most the work yourself.

^^^ Pretty much what he said, If you're on a limited budget this is the way to go. I only have a 3 inch leveling kit on mine so far. 3 inch key up front and a 3 inch spacer in the rear. Kit cost me $200. A added new shocks $400, and new rear springs, $75. I run 35 inch tires, $1100. I have a body lift not yet installed $245, So you could easily get around 6 inches for under $500 if you do the work yourself. If you pay some one to install the suspension and body lift You're looking at roughly $1000+ just in labor, (Est for my area based on local hr rates). Check out my album, I beat the crap out of mine with just the 3 inch leveling kit. And your stock shocks will work with the leveling kit, I just wanted something better than stock.
