Most of these budget shops can lay a clean paint job, just beware of the quality of the paint (may only last a year or two). I would do the prep work myself as they usually are lacking in this area.
You may want to see if there are any trade schools in your area. Sometimes, they will paint it for free or for cheap just to use it as a training vehicle.

I garuntee you that if you pay under $3g's for a paint job it's not going to last more then 2 years without fading or peeling. Personally I wouldn't pay under $5g's. If you can't afford it then it's best to just not get it painted. The only reason to get one of those cheap paint jobs is if you are going to sell it in less then a year.

yea.....wish i didnt have to paint it but its ONLY way to clean it up. trucks pealing now.....gonna take off as much as possiable. after grill, windsheild wipers and molding around it(windsheild, rear wiper, knob, roof rack......ect....theres really not much left.thinking of sanding it but itll look better then it is. pictures dont show fade and peal on drivers side...but its bad...especially the roof...

My father-in-law has owned a body shop his entire life, I used to help out prepping cars when I was younger. Anyway putting paint on a car is no mystery, it's all about the prep, if you don't prep the metal properly and use the right primer undercoat then the paint will fail regardless of the quality. In CA we have to shoot all water based paints now which have gotten better but still not close to what we used to have. As for the gloss, it's all in the clear coat, fish eyes, orange peel and fog are results of poor painting conditions and contamination, look for a down draft booth with good filters and a clean shop. Some of our best painters came from Macco and Earl Scheib as they had the most experience since they lay paint on so many cars. But due to labor costs, material cost and EPA regulations we can't touch a car for under $3,500 so we often rerfer people who don't want to spend that to the low cost paint shops but tell them to do their own prep as all they will do is scratch and shoot. Glad yours came out good.
