So silly me messed with MyKey (having only 1 key) and of course now I'm locked with MyKey in lockdown mode settings. Can anyone point me to the section in ForScan where I can disable MyKey? I've not been able to find one anywhere (F150 forum, ForScan.org, etc).
Is there any other way (without going to the "stealer")
Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks
Jeff

From what I can find, 720-02-01.

**** *X** **** - 0, 1, 2, 3 all disable MyKey Feature Support

**** **X* **** - either 0 or 2 disables MyKey Speed Limit and Volume Limit (0 is listed as ‘disable’; 2 is listed as ‘US disable’)

Did you save your factory As-Built Data for all your modules?

OK, Thanks! I'll try that later today! I have to check my laptop for my saved files. Do you know if you can export/save the modules using the Android phone app?

You cannot. Only with a computer. If you didn’t save them, you can recover most of the info from the Motorcraft site, but it doesn’t have every line of the As-Built.

Jeff, the dealer can reset the MyKey. Why don't you have two keys?

OK, got this resolved, thanks Allboost! I changed 720-02-01 - **** *X** **** - 0, 1, 2, 3 all disable
The X from a 3 to a zero, that fixed the MyKey stuff, but also need to change the next character as I couldn't tune in Howard Stern show as Mykey limits what it thinks people should be listening to!! **** **X* ****

Andy, I bought my Expy secondhand with only 1 key. Haven't gotten a spare yet. And really, who likes going to the dealer?! Ain't got time for dat!

I just got activation for Forscan last night, I only got one key with my '08 also.

Thinking of buying a key off of ebay. Any idea what part number it is?

My philosophy on dealers is a little different. They are a necessary evil, and I want a good relationship with them when I have to have my vehicles worked on. If it is something that I can do, I do it myself. If it isn't I pay them to do it. When I pay them, I want the to know that I am their customer and I want to be treated right. I think dealerships are a lot more friendlier in this part of the country.

If you bought your truck from the dealer, they should have erased that My Key for you. Essentially the original owner had two keys, they both start out as master keys until you use use one to create a My Key. The master can do anything and the My Key has limited use. If you have the master key you can remove the settings of the My Key. My dealer told me not to mess with it when he did the walk through. It didn't seem very useful so I've never used it. :)

If I too was living in the "heartland", you bet, east cost (NJ) much different class of dealerships and parts changers. Paying a dealer for service is the LAST thing I would do. Never had good luck with any of them from. I've had equally poor service from BMW and Porsche. Seems they all just want to sell you the latest and greatest. Actually, when we had Subarus back in the late 90 early 2000, they seemed pretty good with sales and service.

Glad you got it worked out. I haven’t dug into it, but I know you can use FORScan to reset and program PATS keys. So you might be able to get two new keys off eBay and then clear your old key out and start over with two new keys.

I was born in Brooklyn New York, but I grew up in Mechanicsburg PA, then lived in Norman OK for 9 years, and now we've been in Fort Wayne Indiana, for the last 11 years, and I can definitely see the difference it the way people treat each other. The Midwest is a nice place to live, even PA wasn't bad growing up but it's not the same as when we left 20 years ago.

My family visits Ohio annually for a big cousin gettogether (and attending the Indy 500!), them folks are just darn nice! Everywhere you go, people are polite and friendly - much different from joirsey!

Well, I thought I had it figured out but even after several reboots and power cycles, I still cannot tune in explicit channels on Sirius (Howard Stern, RAP, etc). Any other suggestions for this?
