Here's what I saw when I told it to bring up the weather map when I left for the day yesterday...ahead of a potential ice storm....pretty cool feature!

I had a feeling that others didn't know about this.....
Yes, I just tell my "girl"...."Weather map" and it displays....then I say "navigation map" to return to the nav.
Not in any of the manual settings from what I could find....I found it by accident. I also tried "Show McDonalds menu" but it didn't work!

Its a part of the Sirius subscription with Sync 3. The music is free for the first six months. The other Sirius apps are free for 5 years. Although I'm not sure the folks in FL make much use of the skiing conditions app.
Touch the screen and you can get a legend control menu and another menu that allows you to overlay storms and isobars.

I said weather map but what came up only had about a 1 mile radius and didn't show any overlayed weather. It just looked like NAV. did I do something wrong?

Yes Bob....have used that before...
Andy, try using the "zoom out" command a couple of time prior to entering the weather map....maybe that will give you better results. Mine are usually TOO LARGE an area showing....I'd rather see my county than the Tri-State area when I'm looking for bad weather so I sometimes have to zoom in.

How do you get 5 years of Sirius free? What do I have to use to prove to Sirius?

I believe he meant the 5 free yrs of subscription to the Apps....not to Sirius music free...that was only 6 mos.

Buy a new Ford with a Sync 3 system. Its not really free because its built-in to the price of the Sync 3 unit (part of the sticker price for the car). You just don't have to make another payment for 5 years.

But Sirius does have a great retention rate. They’ll give you 6 months for $25-30. Just make sure you call and get it again before it auto renews at the retail price.
I’ve been doing this for about 5 years. Never paid full price for Sirius.

Yeah, I've been on the clock for a month now...but I with the tag list was longer.....I'm old, I like a LOT of music since the mid 60's....LOL
