Ive watched them all but have researched and seen that the general consensus, especially for our truck and the f150s, is that you really only need a passenger side catch can. And from what I’ve seen with build up on my MAP sensor on manifold before and after the install, it’s doin what it’s supposed to do. Those big systems are nice and all but I can think of 100 ways to spend that extra $200 savings on my truck by getting a JLT. Like I said, it’s your truck and your choice. Let us all know how you like it!
I’ll post some pics whenever I get it and install it. I realize it may be overkill but I’m the kind of guy that would rather spend my $$$ on something that may make it last longer than on bells and whistles that I know will only cost more and complicate repairs in the future. I bought an XLT and it even has too much crap on it that I really don’t need. I plan on keeping this ride forever if it lasts

I have the JLT on both the drivers and passenger side. I've only seen oil coming out of the passenger side PCV.
Ok I just wanna clear something up here, I accidentally posted a double picture of my kit. My kit only uses one catch can and that is piped/hosed into the passenger side pcv but also piped/ hosed from both passenger and driver side turbos. My driver side valve cover gets a hose with check valve that I tap into the factory air filter box, that’s why that’s the clean side because that’s the side air enters the crankcase. The JLT system only vacuums vapors while idling or light throttle (when engine produces vacuum). The TeamRXP system should continue working/vacuuming vapors even under boost/ hard throttle through the hoses hooked to the turbo inlet pipes which the harder they spool the harder the vacuum pull. So sorry for any confusion between the two different kits.

Just did some research on this. Good idea. Has anyone installed a check valve/ breather setup that runs directly into the exhaust? Our drag team ran this setup on all our mustangs with naturally aspirated small blocks. Some with NOS. Negative crankcase pressure helps ring seal..
This system has the same concept negative crankcase pressure at all times but instead of venting to atmosphere through exhaust,it catches an collects it in the can

Just emptied my can today. Installed on February 8th put about 1500 miles on it or so. Just under 1/4 cup of shit collected and it’s nasty. Glad to see this little can working3826E857-859C-4B35-AA96-8E58DA95E36D.jpeg2AE18699-907F-4645-8697-98C1342965D8.jpeg

Ok but that’s not an ecoboost engine right? I think I’m spotting an Eaton supercharger in that photo?

Correct, the engine in my 1999 Expedition is from Ford Racing that was built for a 2001 Ford Lightning. However, the need for catch cans (mainly on the passenger side) are the same as both the Lightning engine and EcoBoost engines both have the issue on the passenger side. I just wish I installed my sooner. My intercooler now has oil in it and needs a good cleaning. The JLT system works great. No more oil in the intake tube or plenum.

Do it. You won’t be disappointed
Oh I know I wont. I have one in my CTSV and it works like a charm. Just not sure how long I'm gonna keep the Expedition and if its worth it to throw a couple hundred at it if I'm getting rid of it in a year or two

If you sell it privately, then another point for how much you took care of Expy and why the higher asking price :). If you trade it in, then dealer doesn’t care.

I agree but I wouldn’t try to sell my Expedition privately. I’ve tried that before with other automobiles and it didn’t work out. The private market for a run of the mill SUV in the $30k-40k price range is pretty small. Most people go to dealers when shopping for vehicles like that. Chances are I’ll sell it to Carmax or trade it in.

Yes that one will work

Yeah but the installation isn’t that pretty. There’s quite a few coolant hoses you have to work the oil separator hoses around to make it work. I actually modified the bracket for mine so the hoses sit a little bit nicer under the engine cover and they aren’t at sharp angles

Do have to cut anything to get it installed? I don't mind having to do some creative routing or custom mounting, but I don't want to have to hack up the oem hoses or drill holes in the charge pipes.
