Boat mate is the manufacturer. GVWR on the trailer is 7500, I have it loaded to 6900 according to the cat scales at the local loves. It’s a pole tongue with surge brakes so it requires a special WD setup and boat mate advises against it.

The receiver on our Expedition is rated for 600 lb tongue weight 6000 lb trailer weight load carrying or 920 lbs tongue 9200 trailer weight distributing

Yeah, that's too much trailer. It's got an 865lb dry(!) tongue weight. That's no propane, no batteries, and absolutely nothing in the trailer. Max tongue weight on the Expedition is 930lbs, so you'll have to choose between propane and batteries. And that's without any sheets or blankets on the bed in the front. And even if you were to be able to manage the tongue weight, the consequence of doing so will make the thing more likely to sway. And at 35 1/2' long, it's going to want to sway. Also keep in mind that we managed to put 1300lbs of "nothing" in our little 22' trailer. No fire wood, no generator, not really any tools to speak of, just clothes, a few kitchen basics, water, propane, batteries, etc...

What's the dry weight of the TT and GVWR?

930lb of tongue weight is WITHOUT a WD hitch.

With a good WD hitch with built in sway control like my Equalizer E4,it will never sway. Our trailer is 33 1/2 feet and it NEVER feels insecure. Just don't drive like an ass, and pay attention, and you would be fine.

I just looked...that's it to much trailer for your Expy. 7200 dry and 9900 GVWR is WAY to much. You should always get and stay within no more than 80% of your rated towing capacity. My GVWR is 7600, but we weigh in at 6850 pounds roughly and 80% of my rated tow capacity is 7150 approx.

BTW, a F150 won't tow that trailer, nor will a Suburban(they are rated at 7500 pounds), nor will a Chevy or Dodge 1/2 ton pickup pull it. Your only choice is a Excursion, or a 3/4 ton truck

Just curious... but I looked at your trailer, ours is a 2018 Keystone Outback 293UBH, it weighs 5850 empty, a GVWR of 7600 and hitch weight of 725, has a bunk house, outdoor kitchen, etc... we paid $24k for it. Not sure what the Freedom Express cost you??

Just asking, since ours weighs less...trying to help you out!

We made our first camping trip with the Expy last week-end. In one word, wow. It's my third truck in 4 years towing the same 2015 Sunset trail 27bh and it's the best so far. Really stable. I had the same WDH Equalizer on the 3 setup.

Trailer specs are: 30'11" overall length, 5600 dry weight and 625 dry tongue.
Ready to camp, 6500lbs and 930lns tongue.
