If you read the article it says that a tuned Expedition makes 464HP. The stock implies that none of the other components has been modified. That being said here is a more interesting excerpt.
When the all-stock Expedition was run on the dyno the baseline numbers at the rear wheels was 364 horsepower and 423 pound-feet of torque on 93 octane fuel. It’s not called out, but we assume those numbers are for the Premium version as driveline loss is expected.
Given a 18 percent driveline loss it works out to 444HP and 515 pound-foot of torque from an untuned Expedition.

I'm glad to hear the 10 speed is made for big power. I was always reluctant to tune in fear of killing that expensive tranny.

16plati yeah the title is misleading. Had to read it a couple times. I *think* they mean mechanically stock. Yes?

Yes. But to everyone else, a mechanically stock truck with a tune isn’t really stock lol

It’s got some impressive numbers. Their E50 tune will most likely push 600hp

Looks like the dyno they used was whacko and not setup properly. Their stock calculations are way off from averages and seem to exceed the raptor motor. Something “ain’t” right.

Stock as in no physical changes. Even the "stock factory" tuned 87 numbers are good. It wasn't too long ago that 300HP was quite the achievement especially on low octane gas.

They used the platinum which, at the crank, produces 400hp and 480tq. 364rwhp and 423rwtq are right in line with WHEEL hp and tq numbers due to power loss from crank to the wheels. These numbers are extremely accurate

Tuned to 464rwhp and 551rwtq is impressive for bone stock motor. I’ve beat several raptors in my 5 star 93 perf tuned expedition. Just goes to show V8s aren’t everything ppl make them out to be

correct, when i questioned that statement earlier, i read something other than 364!! my mind was playing tricks on me. yes 364 at wheels sounds dead on for the Platty

Remember that the tranny was joint developed with GM and is sat in the Camaro ZL1 with 650HP and 650 Torques

Chevy also wanted to put it in the Corvette Z06 and ZR1 but couldn't get it to physically fit in the transaxle

This was a transmission designed for big numbers

Hi All
Have tried the E30 & E50 tunes in my 2018 EXPY & 2018 F150 3.5L ECOBOOST
They flat haul with those tunes :burnout:
Been averaging 19.2 MPG with the E30 Tune in the EXPY with E51 Flex Fuel
5 Star got 553 Wheel HP & 617 LB FT Torque with a 3.5L GEN II E50 tuned F150
That would be about 675 CS HP & 750 LB FT CS Torque
Chart Below

For the e30 tune on Expedition, what model, 2 or 4WD, and what gears?

I have a 2014 Mustang GT stick shift and a tune with it (I know Turbo is completely different ;-)) and the main gains with that tune is around 1500rpm, apparently plus 13hp and 60 lb-ft at this rpm. Makes the car so much easier to drive and 6th gear so much more useful. I love to drive it low rpm.

Actually, high torque at low rpms make also Diesel fun to drive, at least for me. To old to rev to red line ;-). Hence, I like loooots of torque as low as possible....

(I know a 10-speed auto makes this less important, but still......)
