It's time for her to be set out to rest :(

I was hoping for a few more years out of my 2000 but the time has come to total her. She has a severe coolant leak out of the intake manifold, needs rear brakes, and the final killer is all the rust. The under body rust is beyond repair. The gas tank straps are pretty much gone, radiator is just hanging there as frame is toast, and the body to frame connections are completely missing in several places. Enough tears, lol. My question is this. I have a 1997 also (in great shape) and I was wondering what parts I should take off the 2000 for spare parts for the 1997? I'm guessing most parts are interchangeable?

Hated scrapping my 2000, but had the same story. Head gasket, rust... Hated even more having to spend money to buy a 2008.

The 2000 sound bts, some parts are the same, are any part left worth saving on the 00?
I would think that most parts are good. So far I plan on taking off the newer coil packs and alternator. It also has WeatherTech floor mats, bug deflector, and window shades. Probably grab the headlight bulbs too as they are the Sylvania Silverstar Ultras. What would you grab too?

I have a lot to grab off mine, can’t speak about yours, but I’d take as much as possible, the scrap yard is only gonna sell it anyway..

1997-1998 some models, have smaller wheel studs and different rotors. They also have the front driveshaft actuator and can be put in 2wd. Some came with the oil filter, re-locate adapter. I would sell the 2000 for parts. Its worth around $500 scrap alone. Ask $1000 and put the money in your pocket.

Doh! I was hoping to use wheels (rims/tires) off my 2000 on my 97.
Yeah, I was hoping to get $500 for scrap.
