I think the Tahoe/Yukon looks much better than the Sububa /Yukon XL. Especially the RST version.

Just helped my bro in law with a full detail and this thing is a beast.

You know they make Suburbans in RST that look exactly like the Tahoe, but longer in the back...

Yeah I know. But didn’t want to pay the price for the RST, plus I like the look and feel of expedition to the suburban.

It’s really the exhaust I think that gives it a rumble

The 5.3L in the Tahoe is gutless. Unless you pony up for the 6.2L, this Ecoboost will waste it in a hurry no matter how good it sounds!

How will it ‘waste it’? They have identical 0-60 times...

Oh right. I thought you meant it would waste the 6.2 lol.

Nah, It'll hold its own against the 6.2, but it won't waste it UNTIL you tune it! :). The 5.3 is a turd tho in comparison. I hated the 5.3L I had, no torque at all down low.

The 6.2 picks up a lot of speed with a BlackBear tune, I’ve been impressed by it. I’m not a big 5.3 guy, it’s a revver. It never really did well at competing with the 5.4 Triton, lacked the torque of the 5.4L. So comparing to the Ecoboost is even more stark. I’m sure the 5.3 is a good motor all in all.....it still holds it’s own compared to smaller vehicles by the times.

A tuned 6.2l would likely destroy the turbo I’m guessing. Much more to work with as the ecos are already pretty blown out to juice that much power from them.

Regardless the eco will never sound like anything other than a kitchen appliance unfortunately

Yeah, and a modern high bypass turbo fan just can't come anywhere close to the sound of a good old radial. The radial still has too many other compromises to make it a good choice...

I'm always amazed how many buy the shorter Tahoe and Expedition non-max. The difference is huge as far as usability! You will love the extra room and the Expedition!
But if you don't need the added space, some, like me, like the visual proportions of the shorter wheelbase vehicle. Don't love the Max nor do I like the ESVs.

The Tahoe and non Max look Neutered to me. Just my opinion, looks like they forgot the back.

For those of you who have the Expedition Max FX4 kit, what is your payload with the extra equipment installed?
Just in case the link doesn't work, from page 66 of the "2018+ Post Pictures Thread!...",
1671 lbs (Max, FX4 package with panoramic sunroof)

What's the biggest trailer you've towed with your Expedition. I'm currently trying to decide between GM and Ford which vehicle will provide a safer towing experience. I went and looked at a limited Max with bucket seats and it had a payload of 1586 lbs. I wonder which options add the most weight ie. bucket vs bench seats in second row. Oh and thank you for the quick reply!

In theory a solid rear axle should give you more stability, but I have a 3/4 ton for the trailers....
