Anyone have any idea what the display section I've circled in red is? I've searched the user manual and can't figure it out. Thanks in advance!

It shows what gear the 10 speed transmission is in. If it ever disappears, press the + button beneath the rotary shift dial and it will reappear.

Ah, that makes sense. Thank you! I was scratching my head. It just appeared on my display for the first time a few minutes before I posted and I din't make the connection to the 10 speed transmission. I must have hit the button accidentally to make appear.

Are you serious?

There's no such thing as a stupid question.
Ohhh , except for the one you just asked.
I mean what else could it be??? Fuel gauge level? The number of key starts? 10 wheel drive?

Sure, no problem. Welcome to the forum. Just ignore the know-it-alls on the forum.

Fantastic way to welcome new comers to the forum. Congrats on your tact.
Well, my post was directed at Plati … the poster I quoted.
I didn't think the OP question was stupid at all.
Sorry if you thought or anyone thought I did

I don't have a new model with that feature or I would have answered the question myself

I learned something by that question as I'm sure others did also

geez .. I do hope I don't sound like the proverbial knowitall

No worries.... I must have Plati blocked or something since I can't see his post. Just want to encourage the new comers to feel free to ask questions. I'm glad the forum continues to provide good content that is helpful to many with their Expy's.

I knew what you meant and to whom you were directing your criticism.

All Ford forums need to make a sticky at the top off every page about the shift screen. Raptor forums, Superduty forums and even this one have tons of questions about it. I don’t know why Ford even lets it disappear?

It’s ok. There are a lot of strange things about modern cars. For instance the compass is displayed in lower corner on the main gauge display and I know I’m not the only one who has looked down and seen “N” and said “wait, am I in neutral?”

A few cool little tricks many don't know about too. Like … every car has an arrow on the fuel guage that tells you which side the fill tube is on. Handy if in a rental car for example.
