I have an 03 Eddie Bauer and the outside mirrors want to move everytime i use the key fob to unlock the doors. Is there a wire I can cut to keep it from moving or can I swap to maybe some xlt mirrors that are heated?

That's a new one. Would be nice if mirror programs to the keyfob when you unlock, didnt think they had the ability unless it's some random electrical issue. You could probably unplug the mirror rather than cut wiring. The door panel comes off easily to get to get at it.

I already tried unplugging mirror and it still did it. Apparently in '03 when you put vehicle in reverse the mirrors would move and then were suppose to go back to preset position after you backed up. It was a huge issue from what ive read and they removed the feature in '04.
Theres an option to shut the feature off in the message center.

Some older Lincoln’s had the option of the key fobs being recognized individually same as memory seat selections. Kinda cool actually. If your 6’2” and your spouse is 5’4” and each of your remote key fobs were recognized by the vehicle and moved the seat and mirrors to your own positions as your opening the door.

I didn’t know if Ford was still doing this and how the remotes were programmed independently. But it sounds like this is what yours is doing. Maybe try relearning your remote after setting your seat and mirrors as memory seat #1 first. I don’t know, guessing.

they can be matched to the seat 1 or 2 setting for drivers so this can be done when doing seat positions

You just need to program your mirrors memory settings to your key FOB. The mirrors cycle to a default setting if you don't do this for each key FOB you use.

Setting Up Your Ford Memory Seats
Once you’ve got your seat, mirrors, telescopic steering column, and power pedals in the proper place, turn the key to put the ignition in the “On” position. Once you’ve got the power on, you’ll notice three buttons on the side panel of the driver’s side door. Press and hold the number 1 button for about five seconds until you hear a single chime. After the chime sounds, let go of the button and your seat settings have been saved! To test it out, simply move something a hair and press the button to watch it go back to your set position.

Setting Up Ford Key Fob Memory

For those times when you want your seat to be ready for you before you get inside your Ford vehicle, the key fob that you received with your vehicle can activate the memory seats for you! To sync your key fob with your memory seats, do everything we talked about earlier, except this time keep holding the appropriate memory button until you hear the chime twice. As soon as you hear the second chime, press the lock button on your key fob immediately. Now, every time you press the unlock button, your seat will automatically adjust to your preferred settings. This is especially helpful if you make use out of the easy entry and easy exit feature which moves the steering wheel and seat each time you get in and get out of your Ford.
