Saw a great price on a 2020 Expo Max XLT at Berkeley Ford in Moncks Corner, SC. Texted a sales rep and was told I could only get the deal if I was willing to finance at least 7500 thru Ford...no problem.

After spending 2.5 hours at the dealership, I was told I was “out of zone” to received the full discount, and they attempted to raise the price by 2,500. I said no deal. I have a home in Georgia and SC, and both were considered out of zone.

My question is, is there a department our person I could speak to at Ford to help me with this? I’d like the dealership to honor the deal and sell the car for the price they quoted. Any advice or suggestions are much appreciated, thx

You could try calling Ford Credit and ask them about current incentives.

I had a lot of service issues at dealerships for my 2016 F-350. Love the truck but dealers have no clue about that machine. Came to a head when a tech said future issues with my front hub “would not be covered under warranty “.

I got some help from Ford directly. They of course will tell you that dealers are out of their control but you can ask them to coordinate that sale price or explain these zones.

Help came after I sent an email to: [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected]. Hackett is CEO and Perry is in customer service and he had a specialist get with me.

I got some shields for my F-350 front hubs (funny they have that part but I guess only if you complain do they install it) and they gave me a top of the line extended warranty when I bought my 18 Expedition. Not a direct fix but those have value and the specialist I dealt with was very nice. They even talked to an engineer about my hub complaint.

Best of luck.

Contact your state motor vehicle dealer commission.

having that in writing would be good to forward to them. Ford is picky about where his live and what you qualify for, but it’s hard to believe a dealer in sc would quote something somebody from sc can’t get. Is your drivers license from the Georgia home?

Some incentives are regional, you live within the region you get the incentive, you don’t live or have an address there you don’t get it. That’s the very first thing you should ask the dealer. “What zones quality”.

Deals are tied to your home zip code. Nothing you can do about it unless you go rent an apartment in that zip for a month. It’s a bunch of ********. Why should the guy in a different area get a $10,000 incentive and I only get $2,500.

Because the local dealers are actually paying for the incentive, and they want to give the incentive money to people that are local. I know it sucks but there is a reason.

because I was honest with them, and they knew my zone, my address, and I asked them to double check before I came.

That’s a bit different. Ask to speak to the dealer principal, not the general manager. You can give him a piece of your mind.

Cancel the deal and wait 3 months. Ford will be begging people to buy their rigs. Also check the rental companies vehicle sales sites as they are desperate to sell too. They’ll be even more desperate come October.

I would wait for the new interior on the 2021’s. Assuming they carry that over from the F-150.

In 2003, I leased a Chevy, Monte Carlo. I used my supplier discount, which is basically a no haggle price. I was quoted a monthly price of $197/24months with $1800 down for tax and fees. Upon delivery, while signing paper work, noticed my monthly payment was $203.44. I was told the extra $6, was due to my credit report score. I told them this is BS, my credit score was excellent and 770. The told me, maybe I have too good credit. I told the finance manager, forget the deal and keep the car. The sales manager got involved and my original salesman, but they would not budge. I wound up taking the car, but I know that $144 was probably the finance mangers commission. A month later I received a survey from General Motors, about my experience. I gave them the lowest score possible.

This is not accurate.

Is there new information being reported? If there is, please share. It be great if its sooner. From my understanding, a few yrs back, a timeline was released that the mid cycle refresh was scheduled for my23, after the f150 redesign in my21 and super duty redo in my22.
