Just bought a 2018 Max Limited and have some questions about the 302A package.

Bought a used 2018 expedition max limited with what I thought was the 302A package. It has the LED headlights so I assumed that it had the 302A package. However it does not have the 360 degree camera system. Looking at the ford documentation online, it looks like that was standard with the 302A package in 2018. What is going on?

I actually figured it out. There was a special edition that added the led lighting and the HD towing package + cargo package. They removed the cameras and the 22 inch rims. I am mildly annoyed but oh well, my mistake.

From my 2018 brochure the Limited has two packages:

Equipment Group 301A: power panoramic Vista Roof, voice-activated
Navigation System; and Driver Assistance Package

Equipment Group 302A: all content of 301A + 22" polished aluminum
wheels (includes continuously controlled damping [CCD] suspension);
360-degree camera with Split-View Display and front and rear washers;
LED headlamps and fog lamps; and enhanced active park assist with
parallel park, park out assist, and reverse perpendicular parking

So if it's 301...no camera. 302 it should. Hope this helps!

Its the 301 plus a special edition that added the led lights and heavy duty towing package. Comes with everything but the wheels, suspension, and camera in 302A. I am annoyed because there was a better deal on a 302A but oh well. Heavy duty towing package may be useful.

Yeah, I get it. As long as you're happy with it, that's what counts. Some of these manufacturers do some weird stuff and most dealers are clueless....Glad I could help.

For 2019 they did change the special edition pkg. The 2019 se pkg was a way better deal as it included most everything the 302a had with hd tow for less money.

So I am now even more confused. My expedition does not have the heavy duty towing package. Any ideas how it has the LED Lights? I do not see any other way it would have these.

Led tailights are std on ltd and led headlights are stand alone options on ltd 300 and 301 levels. It was also included in the special edition pkg with 301. Post a pic of your truck and we can let you know what trim it is.

It has LED headlights and taillights. It also has the cargo package. You could add just the LED lights on the 301 package?

Yes you can, as well as the advanced cargo pkg and park assist. Easiest way to tell: if your truck dont have large shiny thin spoke 22in wheels, you dont have 302.

Right, I knew that I did not have the 302 when I noticed the 360 degree camera was missing and the rims were different. For some reason I thought the only way to get the LED headlights was the 302 package so when I would look for used cars, I would skim the pictures for the led headlights. Did not realize you could just add them.

Yea i was mad i didnt get that opt on mine. I ordered before they were released. I asked the sales guy the headlights would atleast have the strip and he said yea, and i could add the led later. As you could probably tell reading threads here, that was a no go. Test drove a platinum, wifey really wanted that model but couldnt find one anywhere that wasnt pre ordered.

301 you were able to piecemeal add the HD tow, LED, and other things individually in 18...

I have a LTD 301 w/ HD tow, LEDs, Advanced Park assist, and RES, but no Cargo pack, 22" wheels or 360camera...
