360 camera not full view

Actually just got my camera replaced by ford yesterday as the back-up camera display would go black. Can anyone help me out with why my 360 camera will not show full view? As you can see in the photo the rear of the vehicle is blacked out?

I don't have this issue. I'm not in mine, but I am 99% sure that the rear shows a similar perspective as the front.

Thanks Lou, from other pictures and videos I've seen online it shows full surround image front and rear.

Mine shows the rear camera in the 360 view when backing up I believe... Will double check when I pickup the kids from school.

They didn’t do something right. They need to program/train/something with the camera. I had the same issue with the front after I hit a deer. The front grill got replaced, and the camera was part of that. When the vehicle wasn’t running the front camera worked, but as soon as I started it up the front view would go black like you are seeing. Take it back, they should know what to do.

It's crazy that the QC part of the dealer visit is so poor! It's almost like they didn't even test it...

Unless it was working when you picked it up (did you test it at the dealer before leaving?) and maybe a wire came loose?

Nope wasn’t working when I got it home and noticed my full 360 isn’t working. So just now it flickered then black again in the rear section of 360.

Unless it was working when you picked it up (did you test it at the dealer before leaving?) and maybe a wire came loose?

It’s not a loose wire. They need to do some sort of calibration. I had the same issue with the front camera after replacement.

Notice the back up view works, just not the 360. It’s the same camera. So the camera is working, but whatever software wizardry they use to create the 360 view isn’t working. When my front was doing this after it was replaced they had to hook up with a laptop and do “something”. Works fine now.

Try the 360 view without starting the car. I bet it works.

Yep. Worked when car was not running. Weird.

Take it somewhere else. They didn’t finish the job. I see based on your reply it works when the car isn’t running but stops working when it is running. This is EXACTLY what my front camera did after the body shop installed a new one. They called some mobile tech company out and they connected up with a laptop and “calibrated the camera” or “programmed it” in some manner. I don’t have all the details other than it was necessary to do more than just replace it.

They did the same with mine when my truck was brand new. Front camera didn’t work from day 1. They replaced it and had someone calibrate it (it wasn’t their service department because they said the person was only there certain days/times). Supposedly it was fixed. Picked it up and still doesn’t work.

I’m just curious if you had this resolved? My 20 Ltd is not displaying the front or back of the 360 view. I don’t think it really ever has except the other day I restarted the car to back it up more and I noticed the top down view showed a front and back. I was thinking the overall view was disappointing. Now I realized it’s mostly not working right.

Did you figure this out or did the dealer fix it for you?
