Anyone, Anywhere Know of a Diff Drop for 4rth Gen?

Still on the fence for reconsidering the ICONS at maxed out height, and still feel that anything over 2 inches is a real stress for the CVs. Was wondering if a proper diff drop might be a good option.

My research has shown everything from homemade ones using bolt washers (!!!) to those genned up on a one-off basis.

Just curious if the hive has heard of anything here?

I think you’re worried about something that is not going to be a problem. Unless you are expecting the CV’s to last hundreds of thousands of miles. Look at my rear CV angle with the 3/2 and Sumo coil spacers. Nothing crazy going on here.

Yes, possibly. But most people don't keep their vehicles for a long time and I'd like my CVs to last 100K.
How do your fronts look?

well i just hit over 100K and have mine...been riding on plus size rims/tires for 14yrs on the same truck

Have you done a lot of 4wheeling with it, with the suspension flexed out? It looks like the truck in your signature is lowered?

2" drop springs...didnt last long...im back to factory ride height

Huh Fozz.... Been looking at the F150 guys with lifts and anything above 2-3 inches looked pretty severe and THAT does not look bad at ALL! Thanks for taking the time to post that!

I had the Ready Lift SST kit on my 16’ F-150. It was 3” in the front and 1” in the rear. It came with upper control arms to get the front to align properly. Everything was pretty much maxed out on the front. Totally killed the ride. It took almost all the droop out of the suspension. This does not seem to be the case on the Expy. But I put 40K miles on it with no problem. My guess is you will have the boots fail due to road grime/debris, sun and chemical rot before actual CV joint failure.
