i have 4wheeled in Colorado a lot with my 07 4x4 EB, yes descending in low range first gear manual is a must or else you'll burn out your brakes.
That is where it the rev up seems to happen. It does eventually slow down, kind of a weird feeling I agree, I guess I have just gotten use to it
Yes they are gravel roads, and very steep, sometimes as much as a 20 percent incline,
Not really sure why you would use low range in snow or mud, that's not where you need the down gearing
Tapping the brakes seems to help
