2014 Exp uncommanded acceleration in 4wd low range first gear

i have 4wheeled in Colorado a lot with my 07 4x4 EB, yes descending in low range first gear manual is a must or else you'll burn out your brakes.

That is where it the rev up seems to happen. It does eventually slow down, kind of a weird feeling I agree, I guess I have just gotten use to it

Yes they are gravel roads, and very steep, sometimes as much as a 20 percent incline,

Not really sure why you would use low range in snow or mud, that's not where you need the down gearing

Tapping the brakes seems to help

i have experienced that as well on decent , really only in 4x4 low 1st, tapping the breaks seems to calm it down

Less engine braking with the transfer case at low speed in very low gear. Typical behavior with a torque converter car as I see it.

Has the opposite effect on my ‘97 Explorer with an automatic transmission. I use 4 low and 1st gear all the time off road- especially when going down steep hills. It saves the brakes.
