I have a 2003 expedition EB 5.4 with 167k miles. My stop lights suddenly quit working. I'm not a mechanic by any sense of the word but I understand the basics. I have tested the 3 fuses that I can see are related to the stop light. 2,5 & 29. I have replaced all the bulbs including the upper ones and I have installed a generic stop light switch and a genuine Ford stop light switch and still nothing!!! I also see that fuse #2 is for "stop light relay" can't find that anywhere.. any ideas.. Thanks

i have an 04...my left went out a couple of yrs ago...took it to FORD they replaced the socket...still didnt work...the wire had actually and literally burned out. so they had cut out quite a bit of wire and resplice/reconnect wires/socket/relay. that may be your problem.

i thought it was my LED's...same as i have now but smoked lens...i went off on the company because of the warranty (none). i bought it from ordered another set that shouldve been smoked but came in clear and i had already thrown out the smoked lenses...pissed cause that meant they still worked. so do i buy another smoked set or opt for the spray tint?

Disconnect your brake pedal position sensor. Measure the voltage between pin 1 (light green/red, harness side) and ground. Is it more than 10V? If yes, go to next step.

Connect a fused (20A) jumper wire between pins 1 and 2, harness side. Do the stop lights turn on?

Im experiencing a similar problem.. Turn signals work, Upper brake light is working just not the 2 lights, Driver and Pass not working... Bulbs are good.. They were working... Only thing I did was change out the Positive Battery terminal last night, due to the old one being a lil loose..
