We live way out in the country and need all the headlight power we can get. My son totalled his car last week hitting a deer on a very dark, rainy evening.

I recall seeing threads about people mounting light bars on their Expy grills, but my search results came up with nothing. I see a front "crash bar" (don't know what else to call it) is available for our Expy's but I question how good the light bar is on it.

Anyone ever done this? Any help is appreciated! And I won't be using the lightbar in any type of city driving, so please spare me the sermon on bright headlights OK?

I would like some ideas on a 2016 Limited for behind grill mounting.

Visually, the front end didn't change much between 2011 and 2016, so I'd imagine you can probably do it similarly to how I did it on my 2011.

I mounted a single row LED light at in my grill, works great , no vibration.
I considered this idea myself (I have the exact same year and color BTW), but I was concerned about the reduced airflow to the radiator. Have you noticed any difference in cooling?

No problems with the cooling system, I used a single row , the brand is Blazer , I bought it at Northern Tool, I did have to modify the mounts, I made them shorter, and drilled down into the plastic and mounted with bolts and nylon lock nuts. I didn’t remove grill for the install.
