Hi Gang, our 2015 EL KR 2WD is at 100k miles and while it was in for an oil change the techs noticed that one of the turbos is leaking oil into the intake, and one of the CCD shocks is leaking. Fortunately, we bought the premiumcare warranty from ford to cover these kind of failures, and the good news is that the turbo is covered. Unfortunately, the CCD shocks are NOT covered (even though air suspension and struts ARE covered; go figure).
The dealership is quoting us $1,400 to replace one shock ($600 for the shock and 3 hours for labor). That seems, um, high.
Anyone else have a data point to share on replacing CCD shocks recently?
Related, is this really a 3 hour job for just 1 shock?! That seems excessive.
Thanks for your input.
