Looking to get some ideas of others rocking aftermarket wheel setups on stock height with 285/60/20 tires. Post pics please and if you had any rub or trim required.

Keep in mind if your in snow/ice country the stock tires vs wheel well clearances seem to get really tight with packed in snow and ice. I honestly don’t know if I could bump up to 60’s without having big issues with the snow packing and ice in the winter.

Just something to keep in mind

If I were here, you would know it !
With 22's 45 is stock height
Yep, I figured as much, after thinking about it for a minute after commenting...

Just another reason why I do not believe the 22/45 combo belongs on an otherwise stock Expy, and looks out of place, unless it is strictly for cruisin around town, dropping the kids off, shopping etc, or is intended to serve as an "eye catcher/pimp wagon" :D

Therefore, for use as a actual truck/SUV (hauling heavy stuff, goin the back way, pullin a trailer/boat etc), I think 20/55's or 18/65's looks and works much better in terms of ride quality, performance and durability...

Depends on the tire! These had 47000 miles on them when we hauled this beast 750 miles over three western passes in stupid july 100 degree weather. Last couple of winters they handled epic Sierra snow just fine. Best part people assume its a mall crawler when its probably doing more truck stuff than most F150’s. Just replaced the tires at 54000 miles because the snow tread was mehh. No need for snow tread I would have done another 10-15 k with them. Not going to lie BFG or Michelin is the only brand that makes tires in 45’s that can do truck stuff. The rest are just big car tires.

Shouldn’t be a problem we are coming from a 21 Explorer that had the sport package 20’s and had a lot less wheel well clearance than the expy. Here in Idaho where I’m located we don’t get crazy snowed in. And if that did happen than we’ll hop in my Super Duty Tremor. :)

Would love to see some posts of the 285/60/20 size if anyone here has done it. Preferably on aftermarket wheels too.

I was thinking about going to a 285/60 but instead went for 275/60 from 275/55 on the 20” rims. I felt the 285 width, while looking good, might be more of a hinderance than help, with maybe rubbing.

I know this doesn’t give you the picture you are looking for.

I used to drive on 33x12.50xR22 which is pretty much 315x45xR22 and there wasn’t rubbing. It looked really good.

I’m actually leaning towards 285/55/20 or 275/60/20 now. Slightly more to the 285/55 since it will essentially be same size as my spare.

I have a '21 Lmtd with stock 22's 285/45. Don't mind the design of the wheel but I just don't like the look of the 22's. Have some 20's on order and will mount 275/55 Michelin Defenders when I get them.

I will be selling the 22's, only about 8k miles on them.

Wheels I ordered are the all black 5 spoke.

Ebay - Annies Wheels in Meridian, ID had them. One off set probably. You can also get a pretty good selection to choose from at detroitwheelandtire. They sell direct and on Ebay and where about $500+ more than what I got mine for.

Hoping to find some stock height members here on 285/60/20 to see if there’s any issues with rubbing etc. Looking to purchase this tire setup this week on Fuel Flux rims 20x9 +20 offset. Going with the new BFG KO3’s
