Coolant leak under thermostat housing?

2014 expedition coolant seems to be leaking from the piece that is under the thermostat housing. Not the housing itself but under that. There is a black gasket sticking out from there. Is this a hard fix and what would the part be called?

That would be the coolant crossover o-ring leaking. Common and pretty easy, just have to pull a bunch of stuff off the intake to get to it. Do both sides, and do the thermostat and thermostat o-ring while you're there.

After hours of Google search I found some videos for the replacement of the gaskets. It can be done without removing manifold thank god. But I do have to file back part of the crossover tube...ill start teardown today. Parts from Amazon delivery later today. Lucky for me temps are unreasonably warm here in CT today. Hopefully this goes smoothly...thank you!

I did that replacement a couple months ago, didn't have to shave anything off, just loosened the manifold bolts and replaced. Think it took maybe 30 minutes to do, real easy job, you should be alright. Just make sure those gaskets are the right one's when they get to you, I bought the first set off amazon and the passenger side gasket was wrong, ended up going to autozone.

I did this earlier this year and filed off the corner on the passenger side of the head so I didn't need to loosen the intake manifold.

I had to do the same. There is plenty of material there so it won't cause harm. All went smoothly and I'm back up and running.
