Yup when you hit 130mph you can hear them open then your good for another 15mphPressure vents for that air gap in the hood.
Pressure vents...huhPressure vents for that air gap in the hood.

Would be cool if they were engine bay lightsThey're additional speakers that turn on when the hood is up and stereo is on. Kinda nice when doing my own oil change. Kidding of course.
Nope. They look like engine-bay light mounting brackets to me. Maybe an option on some trims? Maybe available from Amazon?
They do help with the pressure differential that can lead to that. So yeah.Maybe they strengthen the hood somehow, you know, to keep it from bouncing in the wind so bad that it looks like it's gonna rip off! There are plenty of ways to keep something rigid and still reduce weight, lol. I'm just glad I haven't seen anyone put those gangsta fake Cadi plastic vents there!
Yeah, I have experienced exactly what you are talking about. I also tightened our 2020's, and adjusted the hood back on the arms, to make the front edge more flush.I'd love to see that in a wind tunnel, with / without, although that won't really show real world conditions. I get the pressure differential with downforce and low pressure under which impacts the engine bay, but my issue is inconsistent airflow over the hood, i.e. wind gusts, changing wind directions, etc while driving. Under normal conditions its fine, but there are plenty of times here in CO where winds on highways go from head on to sideways instantly, and this hood looks like it's inches from buckling. I've tightened the bumpers to try and help but it's crazy. Makes me slow down at times if the families in the car.
