Hi everyone,

My order for a 2025 Expedition Platinum Max has been confirmed October 29th, 2024, (make the order in Canada.)

Lately I’ve been checking inventory and noticed that quite a few 2025 models ordered after mine have already been shipped. I’m wondering—are there others here who ordered around the same or similar time with me but are still stuck in “In Production” status?

Also, aside from the official Ford order tracker, is there any other way to get more detailed updates on the order status?

Any tips or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Same. Ordered 10/28. Order confirmed 10/28. Nothing since. No Vin. No production date. Only status is waiting on ultimate 24 inch wheels. I see there was already a recall/shipment hold for a possible engine oil leak.

Stuck "in production." Platinum Max w/ SPP, Ordered/confirmed 11/07/24, scheduled 02/24/25, in production 03/03/25, nothing since then. When none were shipping yet- ok; now that they are shipping other similar units to dealers for stock- very frustrating

If I were cynical, I would say that Ford has no concern for customers that have ordered a new vehicle.

One would think the dealer-salesperson would be hounding their area Ford representative for information and updates?

Order a $5 item from the Amazon.com website, and a projected delivery date is displayed. An email is sent to the customer when the item is shipped, and another email sent (with a photo) when the items is delivered.

Amazon doesn't have to build the item. It's sitting on a shelf in a warehouse and their biggest concern is getting it to a DC near you.

True - but you would think for a $65,000 + purchase order, Ford or its authorized dealer would provide some information or communication with its customer?

A glacier gray Tremor trim just came into a dealership near me in Charlotte, NC (Huntersville Ford). I went and test drove it today. Drives very similar to the Timberline- maybe a tad smoother. I have a 23' Expy Timberline. I loved everything about it (seats are much more comfortable, adjustable head rests, and the huge cluster panel actually is not bad or distracting (at night could be another story). However, that steering wheel is just so oddly shaped and small. It was awkward driving from that stand point. Curious others thoughts- if anyone else has test drove one.

Picked this up yesterday. Star White Metallic Tri-Coat, Salt Crystal Grey interior, driver's package. Paid $81,499 before TTL. The one we had ordered 11/4 is still stuck in production with a hold. Some immediate impressions driving it home a few hours from the dealer compared to the 2021 Expedition we had last week as a rental while my wife's nieces were in town: Suspension is much improved, less harsh. Wheel will take some getting used to but it doesn't bother me. I keep trying to click the middle button on the controls to select what options I am trying to adjust, but you just click where the option is if that makes sense. Driver's display reminds us a lot of my wife's previous 2023 Tesla Model X. I wish the center display had a slight driver tilt as in my seating position it seems like it sticks a bit too far into the cab for the viewing angle. New hood design did not flex/wobble at high speeds like the 2021 we rented did. Cabin noise seems improved. I'm not particularly fond of these buttons here with the auto start/stop, hazards, camera, etc. The entire row of buttons moves when pressing them, not sure how it will hold up especially because I press the auto-stop and the cameras each time I drive. Split tailgate made changing two kids diapers side by side super easy. Overall extremely happy with it they really got a lot right on these.

Nice truck...congrats and hope it goes you many blissful miles. What you said about the split gate is one of the reasons my wife and I wanted it lol. Did you get the cargo manager, If I get one, that's a must for me

Congrats on the new ride! Quick favor: on your 2025, can you see if there is a bar that is attached to the frame, right in front of the driver and passenger front door that goes into the wheel well to protect the occupants in the small offset crashes? As I understand it, this bar is not on the 2022-24 expeditions, and would be a clue as to whether or not the ‘25s would have better safety this time around.

When I ordered my Expedition I had to wait 9 months before I got it. My was made in Kentucky.

All Expeditions and Navigators have been final assembled at the Ford Kentucky Truck Plant on the east side of Louisville since 2009.
