Haven't seen any comments yet on how it rides with the 24's. Did I miss someones experience?
We're coming from a 21 with 20s to a 25 with 24s and CCD, so our impression is a bit skewed. In the limited time I've driven it, about 15 miles, I didn't feel an appreciable difference.

O wow. I dnt have a new expy but the one i tested I drove on the same roads i took my 20 nav on alot(and a lot of other vehicles) and the expy on 24s was vastly superior. Outside of some jiggles, we didn't feel much of any road imperfections.

The roads I drove it on were very very good and very very bad, with nothing in between lol. I need a bigger sample size.

Picked up my 25 Star White Metallic KR Max today in Columbia, SC. Made it ~5 miles and the passenger rear valve stem unseated. Dealer was there within 20 mins, tire off, back to shop, and resolved.

Spent a few minutes figuring out keyless entry config, setting up my profile, connecting to my gmail account & my Ford Pass… all pretty easy and very intuitive.

Made a trip to dinner - will do a deep dive tomorrow. The Sinister Bronze wheels on the KR got 4+ comments within 15 minutes (waiting for the tire to be repaired and reinstalled, LOL).

In my opinion, some dealers drop the ball on this.

When I bought my 2015 Expedition, the salesman introduced me to a young guy on staff who walked me through setting up Sync with my phone.

When I bought my 2023 Durango, the salesman walked me through setting up Uconnect with my phone and showed me various Uconnect features.

When I bought my 2024 Expedition, the salesman shook my hand, handed me the keys, and said his good byes. Two and half months later, I'm still finding things in Sync.

However, not pleased with the limited info you can put up there. You get one spot and can only select one extra "widget" to put up there, trip/gauges/full economy/tire pressure/etc, and no option to scroll through them. Very disappointed in that.
So I found this, and it appears you can have three widgets on the instrument panel. But it doesn't work, you cannot drag widgets to the area, you can only tap on them and when you do it replaces whatever is already up there. Frustrating.

Dang I was gonna take my wife to see that one this weekend...jk

Im really tryna hold out till later, but a dealer in Kissimmee fl is selling a blk expy with the drivers pkg for 73k. I didn't think I'd like the salt crystal Grey interior as much, until I sat in it. Im fighting the urge so bad.

Dick Smith Ford in Columbia has a blue platinum and a another star white King Ranch. I’ll be home on Sunday, if you wanna make arrangements to see it N Charleston area first half of next week. LMK

Yep, I was trying to figure out the same thing. It appears that you should have three widgets… Need to investigate this further. Maybe I need to let it do a software update?

I was able to look at a new one today. The dash having no hard buttons is an absolute deal breaker for me. I have no hard buttons in my 2023 Synch four and I cuss it every time I drive it. Fool me once…….

The dash is not great looking but I could live with its looks if it had key hard buttons. The front grill looks worse and the black on the tailgate is awful.

I agree!! Big mistake to eliminate hard buttons.

Uh oh, dont tempt us with a good time lol. Jk I don't know if well be available sunday but thanks for the offer. I did show her your truck and she loves it, and she lives brown interiors. Im afraid to show her cuz she may change her mind on the trim she wants or shell want yours lol. I do have a question for you..how is the leather on the steering wheel? I didn't like how last gen, the kr leather on the steering wheel felt more course and firm than the leather on the other trims. The leather on the platinum ultimate felt fantastic. Looking forward to your deep dive. Congrats on the new ride as well.

You still using a BlackBerry?
Big difference. Driving a vehicle 80 mph and touching a screen with no haptic feedback, or having to go into a sub menu just to change the rear climate or toggle the recirculate “button” is a lot different than sitting at your desk.

I could give several different examples of things that are not conducive to paying attention to your driving at the same time.

Legit concerns for sure.

The truck does have pretty intuitive voice controls as well. I guess to me, it makes no difference, stack buttons or touch screen I'm still looking away from The road to make a change. There are some touchscreen that require screen hunting, luckily to me the new expy isn't like this for the standard controls. And I also wouldn't get a vehicle I didn't like as much because it has hard buttons.

Might wanna wait - that Kissimmee truck does not have ventilated seats. Your gonna stick to those seats like love bugs to a grill on I-95

The steering wheel leather feels ‘dry’ - i also found a noticeable pick on the underside of mine. Will try to remove with a small razor. Not familiar with prior Expys - I put an aftermarket steering wheel cover on my F250 immediately - I like the feeling of the larger diameter grip with the cover.

Drove home today and used Blue Cruise (BC) extensively on the Interstate; about a 100 mile ride. First experience with BC. Noticed that the ‘set’ speed reverted back to the posted speed limit on several occasions - might have correlated to where the posted speed changed.

Only one minor issue - the rear passenger tire TPMS failed at about 100mi on the odometer. Luckily the tire was still holding pressure, unlike yesterday when the same tire’s valve stem unseated on the interstate.

Mine came on Michelen’s - so the ride was comfortable and relatively quite, as compared to my 2019 F250 KR with the 6.7 diesel.

No real issues or concerns - I preferred driving in the Sport 4A (All-Wheel-Drive) mode vs normal, and also over the Eco…. But Eco & Normal both handled the highway fuel economy better.Need to see f you can save the Drive Mode to the driver profile.I drove back using Eco and got 17.1 MPG over ~85 miles of interstate driving.

Need to get under the hood and under the truck to look at the suspension configuration - I would like to add a 2” to 3” lift. First look was a cursory inspection - there is a LOT OF EXTRA room in the engine compartment.

Turning radius seems slightly lesser than in my F250… may just be my experience vs a F250.

They kept the same square key as on my F250; this matters to me as I want to install a Bolt Keyed to vehicle hitch pin and lock for when I need to tow.

The leather seats are soft enough, but they are heavily perforated for the ventilation feature. Almost to the point of appearing to be a ‘mesh’ rather than true leather. The arm rest in the rest seem a bit under-stuffed, ie thin.

The power windows allow for a lot of incremental minor lowering steps. I’d say 4 quick clicks before the window was below the window rubber.

I opted for the locking vault - it reduces the overall usable space - but will keep a larger pew-pew protected, along with wallet, keys, etc if I exit to run, hike, bike, etc.

I will use this for work (construction company owner, but carry some occasional small tools and tool cases), so I purchased a Ranch Road storage system. I fits nicely, just barely sliding in with the top lip just above the plastic panels of the rear cargo compartment; they do not rub unnecessarily.

Will be adding custom paint to the lower rocker and tying to front and rear bumper to mimic the other KR models of days of old.

In the adaptive cruise control on my 2024, there's a setting that determines whether or not the ACC follows speed limit signs. I had it turned on for the first week that I had mine, then I turned it off. I assume that your 2025 has a similar setting.
