Recently the chime sounds when I open door after turning off vehicle. This would be the same chime that would alert you that you left lights on. Lights are off. No message on dash. My local mechanic could not figure it out. Recently had blower motor replaced by dealer because of recall. They could not locate source of issue. In addition to being annoying, remote start no longer works - I’m thinking because of this.

Any thoughts?

Now have the same issue on our 2016. I haven't done it yet but I'm going to remove the cables from the battery and touch them together so it drains all the power out of the system and then reconnect them. It's going to be a couple days but I'll post the results when I do it.

The issue with a chime sounding when the engine is off and the LF door is opened on 2015 - 2017 models is usually a defective gear shift assembly.

A sensor part in the shift breaks, causing a false signal to the vehicle’s computer - making it think the shifter is not in park (when it is).

The solution is to replace the transmission shifter assembly.

There are several posts on this forum regarding the matter.
