Hard Jerk

I have a 2013 Ford Expedition that occasionally has a single, hard jerk during acceleration. It feels like the whole vehicle suddenly jolts once and then immediately goes back to normal.

There are no warning lights on the dashboard, no check engine light, and no transmission warning messages. The issue happens intermittently and does not occur all the time.

I'm not sure if the problem is related to the transmission, ignition system, or something else. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? What was the cause in your case?

My second gen had a hard cough that festered into a shutoff while driving. Turned out to be the non replaceable factory fuel pump relay, it is now replaceable.

My 2007 frequently has poor shifting from 1st to 2nd. Acts like it's slipping then jerks into 2nd, but not really harsh. Ford dealer claims nothing is wrong...
